Intended Use

4.5/5.0 MM LCP Proximal Lateral Tibia Plates are intended for the treatment of non-unions, malunions, tibial osteotomies and fractures of the proximal tibia including simple comminuted fractures, lateral wedge fractures and proximal fractures with associated shaft fractures.

4.5/5.0 MM LCP Proximal Lateral Tibia Plates are part of the Large Fragment LCP System. The locking plates are precontoured to replicate the patient’s anatomy and aid with anatomic restoration. Both plates and screws have been designed to specifically address each of the variable fracture patterns commonly seen in a manner optimizing internal fixation while providing appropriate rigidity to address comminution and bone loss

The plates are available in stainless steel and titanium, with 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 holes for left and right tibias.

Locking Holes in Plate Head

The divergent threaded screw holes accept Locking Head Screw 5.0 mm and Cortex Screw 4.5 mm. Locking screws in the head area provide angular stability and secure support, leading to optimal reconstruction of the tibial plateau for restoration of full joint function.

Preshaped Plate

Low profile contouring of the plate approximates the lateral aspect of the proximal tibia for optimum bone conformance and helps minimize prominence and soft tissue irritation. Little or no bending required.

Rounded Plate Tip

Rounded and tapered plate tip permits a minimally invasive surgical technique and facilitates sliding of plates sub-muscularly.

Combi Hole

The Combi hole provides the flexibility of axial compression and locking capability throughout the length of the plate shaft by accommodating Locking Head Screw 5.0 mm or Cortex Screw 4.5 mm, or a combination of both, providing comprehensive selections for flexible intraoperative technique.
